My love of spontaneous Chinese brush painting has provided a unique segue for exploring more abstract techniques of Oriental painting. This painting is in the style called "PoMo" or "Splashing Ink". The painting is developed by working wet in wet, throwing or pouring watercolor and ink on rice paper, canvas or shikishi board and then finishing the painting through the use of traditional brush work.
